On different occasions, I've puked my guts out, felt like my guts were falling out and noticed I was getting a gut. The last gave me a gut feeling that I should lay off the soda.
Oh, and I have gutted rooms of my house when they needed it..

I use it sometimes when I refer to a "gut feeling" or maybe "go with your gut". Depends on who I am talking to, though. Usually I use the term "instinct".

If the word comes up, yes...I say it with the same voice I always do...however it isn't one of my 'most used' words...what's the basis for your question? Seems rather odd...
