How do you stop McDonalds fries from getting "soggy" after a while. Sometimes I buy a Big Macmeal but I'm not that hungry so I just leave the fries for about 4 hours, but by then the fries are soggy and don't taste as good as when they're fresh. :-( Is it best to leave "air" it or cover it?

I re-heat them on an open cookie sheet in a 325 degree oven about 5 minutes. They'll taste almost as good as when they were fresh.

There is no way to keep fries from being soggy after a short time. They are meant to be eaten right away.

buy a small order and eat it with the rest of the meal..but to keep them from getting soggy leave them open to the air if you close them up as they loose heat they also loose moisture if they are covered the fries re absorb the mosisture..hence soggy

probaly you should eat the fries 1st as they are not all that hot anyway when you get them and if anything they should go hard, not soggy! the ontly way to eat them is to re-cook them in a deep-frier but for best results, make sure they don't salt them 1st if you leave them for a while before recooking them.

Better yet, buy your Big Mac without the fries. It will be kinder to your body (even if you're not overweight). Since you are not hungry at the time anyway, why pay for something that you don't end up eating. And (here's an AMAZING concept) try buying milk to go with your burger instead of soda. The two seem to compliment each other a lot better than any of the alternatives.

Oohh, I don't know where you're from, but that sure doesn't happen to us. Ours are yummy cold, and stay kinda crispy. I like mine reheated in the nuker, but my son likes them cold.

All fries do that. You have to eat them while they're hot. You can;t even warm them back up. Once they're cold, you might as well just throw them out.

They aren't meant to be kept for 4 hours. McD's is supposed to throw them out 7 minutes after they come out of the grease. How about you go back again when your hungry?
