Definately go see a doctor. I had it and just went into the eye doctor they have at the local Walmart and the doctor prescribed drops and the visit was like $25.00 and the drops maybe $15.00..and it was cleared up in 3 days. Why try a bunch of home remedies and have it take weeks. I would just get the meds and get it taken care of. Good Luck

No. The term, "pink eye," as doctors use it, refers to a specific bacterial infection of the lining of the eyeball. The eye can become bloodshot due to a variety of irritants, allergies, simple dryness, or a viral infection. A bacterial infection of the eye requires the use of proper antibiotics, sometimes in ointment form and other times in pill form. No non-prescription remedy would be safe if it slowed your visit to a competent physician.
Arificial tears can help irritation or dryness, antihistamines will help with allergies, but with classic pink eye you must take properly chosen prescription antibiotics for any hope of benefit..

No home remedies exist. If it isn't treated it can lead to blindness. If you think that you (or your girlfriend) have pinkeye (Conjunctivitis) the next best step is to visit a doctor/clinic - the sooner the better. Conjunctivitis is highly contagious, also.
If someone with pinkeye rubs the eye, then shakes hands with someone else (or just opens a door) without washing their hands, the disease could spread. See a doctor.

I have a solution:
1)Dont drink a lot
2)Sleep 8 hours, no less.
If you don´t solve the problem you can use a lemon juice.
