Absolutely false. The pill is not abortive but pre-emptive. Ask any doctor and he'll tell you the same.
Anti-abortion websites aren't the most reliable source for those topics. Doctors are.

I actually got pregnant while on the pill and I gave birth to a healthy baby girl. I stopped taking the pills when I found out I was pregnant, though. But no, it won't kill the baby. I did have a blood clot in my lung early in my pregnancy, and they said it was remotely possible that it was from the birth control pills and being pregnant, but they weren't certain.
I think as long as you stop taking the pill as soon as you find out you're pregnant, there are no health risks to the baby, so don't worry. I think that you would have to be taking the pills through the majority of the pregnancy to cause any harm.
Unfortunately, Anti-Abortion websites are not always the most truthful or up front about things. You can go to Planned Parenthood website (www.PlannedParenthood.com) and they have a lot of very good, unbiased information on birth control and pregnancy (believe it or not - they are not just an abortion clinic - they can help through an entire pregnancy, providing information and counseling).
Good Luck.

The pill contains hormones that trick your body into think it is pregnant already, so it doesn't release an egg. It also makes the body create a lot of mucous around the cervix, opening of the uterus, to help keep the sperm out. The low doses in the pill, because they are supposed to make the body think it's pregnant, won't harm a fertilized egg, embryo or cause an abortion. The pills hormones are the same as will be produced when the fertilized egg implants in the uterine wall, which generally helps it, if an egg is released and fertilized to begin with.
This site isn't just anti-abortion, it's anti- birth control as well.

From experience first hand YES it can, the hormones in the pill prevent the baby from attatching thus the fertilized egg just comes out. I recently received the depo shot my first. I had a pregnancy test done beforehand, but it failed to detect my pregnancy and I had a m/c (appx 8 weeks pregnant at the time) a week later. So yes birth control can cause a m/c and kill the baby.

It is possible to get pregnant on the pill and continue to have perfectly healthy pregnancy, but taking extra doses of BC pills like after having unprotected sex can prevent the pregnancy from implanting or continuing. This is why some ER docs will tell women after a rape exam to double their BC pills for the next few days, because it basically works as a morning after pill. As long as you are just taking your normal doses, you will be just fine. :)

I know a lot of people who have gotten pregnant while on the pill and had perfectly healthy babies. I do think its true that it may be harmful to a baby if you keep taking it for a long period of time however I do believe this is very rare.

I know a girl that was pregnant when she started taking the pill and took it through her entire pregnancy. She says that she had no idea that she was pregnant until she went to the hospital for stomach pains and they told her that she was in labour. I think that she was in denial.
Anyway she gave birth to a little boy, severely under weight. He had a lot of problems, but today he is healthy.
So I guess that it is false.

My SIL got pregnant while on the pill and I think she was taking it up to a month before she found out. She still pregnant today. Not sure, how long you would have to be taking it before it would actually kill the baby.

I agree with jasev on this one. The pill doesn't kill anything what it normally does is create a thick layer of mucus around the cervix preventing sperm from reaching the egg. Most pills today also have progesterone to stop a new egg from forming.
