She can't seem to compete against the top men pros. Is she being selfish by taking a spot away from a male golfer who needs to play in order to keep his PGA tour card, or should she be Be only allowed to play in the LPGA

No!
This is getting ridiculous. If the PGA is going to allow any women to play on the PGA Tour, they need to limit it to the leader(s) on the LPGA money list or something like that. But,I myself (sick of Tiger winning) would watch Tiger win anytime then watch Wie even play.

the LPGA is not a minor system for the PGA. women do not have to prove themselves on the LPGA before competing in the the PGA. if wie wants, she is perfectly within her rights to play exclusively on the PGA throughout her career even if she is never competitive with men. the PGA however doesnt need to keep permitting her to exercise sponsoship exemptions. i think wie's game will improve and she will start making cuts by the end of 2007. as for taking the spot of a marginal male player, the PGA is not concerned about that. what would you rather have, one more unknown male player who won't make the cut or a marketing ohenom with super galleries? it not about fairness, its aobut $$$.

She's playing on sponsor's exemptions, so I'm not completely convinced that the people she's taking spots from would do enough to earn their cards anyway. That being said, she should make a conscious decision to stop playing men's events. You can't blame her for taking the spots when offered, but she should probably come out and say, "Okay, I'm not ready for this, let me play on the LPGA for a while and refine my game."

She can and does compete against the top men pros. There are a lot of men that do not make the final cuts. Should they only be allowed to play in the LPGA.

She should have to try out for the LPGA.
She isn't a man, and therefore doesn't belong on the PGA tour. How would the LPGA like it if a man like Tiger Woods tried out? He would make the team and win every game, but would it be fair?

No she cant seem to compete against the top men pros, but she sure looks good trying. I am sure part of her problem is she is not Re gripping her clubs with Gorilla Grip Tape from StukOnTapes. Gorilla Grip Tape is easy to work with and provides the ultimate gripping solution for all your grip needs, be it Golf, Tennis, Fishing, or wherever the need for conformability and extremely high tack and holding power is required. StukOnTapes is simply the best on the market, and you can only get it from StukOnTapes, they do not use distributors and sell Direct to the end users thus keeping the price very very low.

that's a good question and i actually made a blog posting about that and got mixed answers. i think maybe she has the ability to play with them, just not right now. she's still very young and developing. these men have had a long time to fine tune their skills. i'm on the fence about splitting up the sexes like that. in more intense sports(ie basketball), i can see splitting them up. men and women DO have physical differences. but something like golf seems a little extreme to me.

Only if she can prove soon that she can make the cut. Otherwise, sooner or later, the drama and novelty will wear off.
