If your sore muscles are from working out, pycnogenol or grapeseed extract 100-300 mg may help relieve some of the discomfort. In one small study athletes recovered from muscle stress and injuries twice as fast if given vitamin c with bioflavinoids before and after workouts.
Otherwise, optimize your diet and nutrition for quicker recovery. The hot bath/tub routine is excellent, (I prefer tylenol to aspirin for discomfort) and a gentle massage may be helpful as well. Topical pain creams containing arnica are very good too.
Good luck!

If you have access to a hot spa (hot tub), it's the only way to go. Don't forget to have your favorite wine with you.
