Reply to jsbrunett...:
Did God also inspire them to change and falsify the documents sometimes add to or entirely fabricate bits later?...I don't think so!

Reply to KeAhi:
Not at all, if the Bible schmoozed gays it would not be one jot more believable to me...homophobia is a sign that the homophobe is unsure of his or her own sexuality...take a look at yourself in the mirror dearie!

You have just hit upon the aspect of reality that so many Christians simply cannot or will not grasp.

The truth of the matter is if the Bible was inspired by God, it could have just as easily been inspired by Satan. Of course he'd put mostly good stuff in there, otherwise people wouldn't believe that it was the word of God, but then he'd add all this stuff about mass murder, and human sacrifice, and killing homosexuals, stoning adulterers (but only the women) etc, etc, etc. Hmmm, maybe the biggest trick that the devil ever played isn't that he didn't exist, but that he was God.

When you say men wrote it your right but they were first inspired by God. When you say men compiled it your right but they took the time to see what was written by the Apostles (those that had been with Christ or had an encounter with him when he had risen from the dead) and what was the most widely accepted. When you say it was altered the Dead Sea Scrolls,(when translated) read word for word the same as the bible s of today. And this faked it stuff your talking about is an echo of the DiVinci code

If a e book got here falling from the sky i think of i might nevertheless have a confusing time believing that some bigger skill threw it right down to me. God might actually ought to look formerly my eyes and toss the e book into my palms. Even then, I nevertheless does not understand if i ought to believe that guy or understand who he quite became. i ought to think of i became having a loopy hallucination. If i won't be in a position to even believe my own eyes, why might I believe the words of adult males who declare that somebody else reported they observed something years formerly? that is like believing a narrative that befell to a "chum of a pal, I swear..." The Bible became written down by ability of adult males and adult males make errors and/or lie for despite reason. It does not tutor or disprove something interior the Bible, it merely shows that that is all in accordance with notice of mouth. *i'm undecided the place human beings have become those form of historical dates from via fact the oldest surviving fragment of a biblical rfile looks no older than the ineffective Sea Scrolls. The oldest date i will locate for any of those is probable 250 B.C. i don't understand how somebody ought to declare that Genesis became quite written by ability of Moses in 1445 B.C., that ought to easily be greater 'notice of mouth' records.

The Bible was written on several different continents by kings, scholars, fishermen and lawyers over a period of 1500 years. In most cases they didn't even know each other and had never met.
The incredible thing about it is, ask a group of people to describe an event that they've witnessed and you will get a multitude of different answers.
Yet, the Bible reads as if it were written by one incredible mind. And it was, by God.

Why you trying to disprove God? is it to further your belief in your homosexuality?
Do you think that by disproving God existed will help you feel better about yourself?
Accepting ones self for what you are is the only way you will find any hope of a peaceful life. Why do you care what others think? Does it matter what others think?
Don't waste your time trying to convince Christians that you are right because you can't and don't let anyone else bother you because you won't change either. Wouldn't you rather be having fun instead of being angry?
Well what ever it's your life.

because God told them what to write in the bible so that would make it His word
u might think there are discreptioncies in the bible but they are all explainable
take this into consideration, no man could have told of things that were gonna happen and has happened like 9/11 was in the bible and all sorts of other stuff
so tell me how man alone would have predicted all kinds of things that has happened from way back when

It's in plain American English. The Bible is the word of God because the word of God is infallible. Therefore the Bible being the word of God is infallible. It's as simple as that. But certain people like to poke holes in it trying to disprove it, but you can't disprove what is infallible.
edit:How dare you! You have no right to say that! And now I've read that you are a homosexual too! Now I understand completely! You are just one more sodomite on this website trying to warp peoples minds. This website should be banned for you and your kind!

You seem to be taking out the "Fun" in the Fundamentals of Free Thinking, and Freewill, If you believe, then Believe, if you don't, then what is the point of trying to relate to something you do not understand.

Cause God was directing them, sort of. Why do you ask?
Can't you let people have their beliefs, and do you have to quibble?
Stated another way: Belief is a special thing, people who hold certain beliefs actually own those beliefs; and within any belief is included the evidence, especially the prima facie evidence.
What you believe is yours -- but what they believe is theirs. Your evidence is yours and their evidence is theirs. Therefore your question is inadmissable. Sorry.
