Why can't we live without the concept of sin and live only with the goodness of our minds and bodies?

You can't have a mind without a body, because the "mind" is really just a way of describing some of the way that the body works.

I get the feeling from reading these responses that many of you are still dualists, believing that we have nonphysical minds that somehow communicate their intentions to our physical bodies, and receive sensory input from those bodies, but are not actually physical themselves.

That is simply false, and frankly, you cannot really be part of our modern understanding of the world if you still believe that. Mind is brain function.

Everything happens for a reason. Find out why you have done something sinful. What was your motivation? We usually do things because there is something missing, like love for instance. Don't judge yourself, just look at the consequences of your actions and try to provide what you are lacking in a way that doesn't hurt other people. Then you will stop sinning.

Choosing to act on a sin or crime is a choice you dont have to make. You have the power to stop what you are doing. Actually, your body is just doing what your mind is telling you to do so maybe you should blame it on your mind instead.
And...God made us with a body, for now.

we can but what u will do with only mind
where will be the action, where will be the reaction.this is wordly answer.
coming to ur question- mind is the only culprit which spoils the body. if u set ur mind in such a way not to commit any sin, crime then ur body is clean.
my dear keep ur mind (under any circumstances) clean u will keep the body clean, then no need of thinking only to have minds.

It is because of our sin NATURE that we must live with bodies. Even in the resurrection we will have bodies, but they will be bodies like Christ, bodies of a highly spiritual nature that will not be subjected to the restrictions of mortality and physical laws that we for the present must endure.

Because body is part of illusion, which create doubt in our minds and lead to mistakes. While mind is spritual so very few people live with minds only.

We do sins and crimes not because of our bodies, but because of our disobedient minds. The bodies are means for us to do good and to do bad, to show obedience and disobedience to the One True God.
God commands us not to abolish our bodies, He commands us to surrender our will under His Will.
Pray for the radiance of your mind.
