you have to help baby latch when they are little. then they are able to latch themselves as soon as they are older. It also just depends on what the baby prefers.

When you are first getting started you must latch the baby on. Babies have to be taught to breastfeed. Once the baby gets the hang of latching on the right way he/she will be able to latch by him/herself.

Latch the baby on whilst very young, then once baby is bigger he/she will find his/her own way. However, the mother will need to "supervise" this if she is not comfortable.

latch them on till they figure out how to do it properly or else you can end up with cracked nipples OW!

my baby wouldnt take the breast milk, i dont think i had enough patience so i just gave him the bottle so i dont know.i think breast feeding it hard
