Just once or twice or everytime? Is the poop solid or liquidy? Just a little or alot? without knowing all the details no one can give you a proper answer. It could be just a scratched rectum, because puppies are notorious for eating things they shouldnt. If its seems to be constipated put some cooking oil on its food. But if there is lots af fresh blood often , take the puppy as wellas its most recent bowel movement to the vet.

Bllod in the poop is a common symptom of MANY different things. It is usually just an irritation of some sort in the intestines, could range from something he ate, to internal parasites (worms), or stress, or somethings much more serious - Parvo, tumor, blood clotting problems...etc.
Especially in a otherwise healthy pup, we don't woory about it too much. Some vets may but him on an antibiotic, but most wait and see if it clears...always check with your vet, and note how long it has gone on, and if it accompanied by ANY other symptoms...

bloody diarreah is never a good sign in any dog or puppy, usually the blood means parvo. Is the dog throwing up???? not drinking?????? not eating??????? This is a sign of parvo.
Is the dog not eating???? Throwing up????? trying to stay in the water dish???????? This is usually a sign of worms.
The worms and the parvo have similar symptoms..... GET THE PUPPY TO THE VET IMMEDIATELY, THIS WILL KILL THE PUP WITHIN HOURS.......VERY DEADLY..... WORMS CAN CAUSE A VIRUS THAT LEADS INTO PARVO GET THE PUP MEDICAL ATTENTION NOW..
IT CAN EVEN BE COCCIDIA, WHICH CAN ALSO KILL YOUR PUP.

It mean that your puppy needs an Injecto. There is blood in it bcause it may be long time to fed it, practice the Injecto not less than trice a week to stop the bleeding. So wipe the blood and get ready for the Injecto. For more detail on Injecto, send a question to the e-mail adress shown to you. I hope I answered your question.

Get pups to a vet.
Hematochezia is the presence of bright red, fresh blood in the feces. Hematochezia usually occurs with bleeding in the lower intestines (colon, rectum). Hematochezia should not be confused with melena, which is the passage of dark, tarry, black feces. Melena represents the passage of old, digested blood that has occurred with bleeding higher up in the intestinal tract.
The presence of hematochezia may be a symptom of either a minor problem, or a potentially more serious problem in the animal. One occurrence of hematochezia may be a minor and transient event. Repeated or persistent hematochezia is more serious and should not be ignored.
General Causes
Infectious agents, such as bacteria, protozoa, viruses, and intestinal parasites
Dietary intolerance/allergy/indiscretion
Cancer (neoplasia) of the lower bowel
Polyps (benign masses) in the colon or rectum
Inflammatory bowel diseases, such as colitis
Trauma to the lower bowel or anal area
Clotting disorders (coagulopathy)
Intussusception (the telescoping of one part of the bowel into another)
Miscellaneous diseases of the anus, rectum and colon
What to Watch For
Bright red blood in the feces
Possible straining to defecate
Increased number of bowel movements produced
Possibly no other clinical signs
Possibly other systemic signs of illness, such as excessive drinking, urinating, vomiting and diarrhea, lethargy, poor appetite, weight loss
Diagnostic Tests
Rectal examination
Complete blood count (CBC)
Biochemical profile
Urinalysis
Fecal examination
Coagulation profile
Abdominal X-rays (radiographs)
Abdominal ultrasound
Colonoscopy

Have this pup's stool checked right away at the vet. It sounds like parvo, watch for dehydration. It could be worms, it could be coccidia or giardia. I would probably treat for both coccidia and giardia (Albon and Flagyl). Ask your vet to check for all including parvo.
