Some people say it was an ancient typo. Others say "Yes of course insects have four legs, and in addition to those four they have others. Just like every human has one eye. But most have the other also.
I do believe you are knit-picking. The Bible also says the sun goes arount the earth. You want to make an issue of that too?

The English word "Insect" was defined long after it was written.
