People with weak character's and self esteem issues will use alcohol as an excuse to do things they would like to do when they are sobre but are too spineless to do because they are scared of what people will think. Sad.

If they weren't using alcohol as an excuse, they'd be using something else.

Alcohol does lower your inhibitions, and that barrier between social good sense and being an idiot. However, you know what you're doing, you just don't really give a rip.

As long as the people around them laugh off their alcohol based behaviors and excuses, then they'll continue to drink and be a twit. If their friends find it unacceptable, they'll either stop or find new friends.

I believe people only use alcohol as an excuse for bad behaviour because they won't accept reality. Most people blame alcohol for their lack of social skills and/or ability to control their emotions after consumption. More importantly, most people realise when they are misbehaving, but because of the alcohol; its easier to put the blame an one of the oldest excuses in the book.

denial is the first thing most people do when they do things they should not have done. They want to blame someone or something else rather than take responsibility for their own actions. Alcohol is the worse drug there is mainly because it is a legal drug that kills more people a year than any other thing. Death certificates say things like, died from heart failure but does not say due to the fact they were alcoholics that drank for years destroying their organs.

Probably it is easy to get away with bad behaviour and blame it on the alcohol.

There is no excuse for bad behavior regardless of how it got there. Alcohol lessens inhibitions and makes some people act like amateurs.

Because alcohol removes inhibitions. It's easier to have a bad behavior when drunk. You should avoid to be drunk but when friends fill your glass too often at a party it can get tricky ;-)

because people become more relaxed when they drink, and if some people drink too much they act dumb, cant handle their booze. They drink again because they forget how they acted the first time and think they wont act that way again
