The Christians say that Christ died for our sins and paid for our sins....does that mean that everyone can go to heaven regardless what they did on earth? If only through your belief in Jesus can you enter heaven, does that mean that a child murdere who believes in Christ is preferref over a non-Christian Humanitarian? And the non-Christian is condenmned to hell?...by the way I am not Christian and I am asking this after I met some Christians aiming to convert me

Technically speaking the Bible does not mention that if you don't believe in Jesus you will go to hell. In fact the new testament does not mention hell at all, hell is a concept and idea that early Christians borrowed from other religions, just as they borrowed the idea of celebrating Christmas, or Halloween. All the bible really says, is that those who do not repent and except God will not receive eternal life and will spend eternity without God in there life. Personally I believe that all religions are cults that don't care about you and only want your money and obedience; however, Christianity does have good rule that most don't follow but would make the world a better place if they did. Jesus said treat others as you would like to be treated. If you take anything from Christianity it's that the rest is garbage.

A murderer who claims he's Christian isnt really christian if thats what he does. However if a murder found God and stopped and turned his life around he is really a christian and believe it or not he will go to heaven. If you reject Jesus you do go to hell.
It's just like if a nerdy guy wanted to be your friend but rejected him because he wasnt popular or you didnt believe he'll make it in life. You were too busy being popular and doing the happening things. Then you happen to run into him again and he happens to be Bill Gates and he's having a party and giving away money to all his friends and people who believed in him and now your poor and people who you thought would help you wont. If you come knocking on his door he'll remember what you did to him and reject you, or because he doesnt remember you he'll reject you.
However the difference is Jesus is constantly asking you to be his friend and you have your whole life to decide if you want to or not. And at the end of your life he'll either say "I never knew you" or "come on in I have tons of stuff to give to you"

My wife belongs to a religion where you get saved by going up to the preacher and telling him you want to be saved and then he has you say that you are taking Jesus into your heart, and there is a certain protocol, and sometimes there is a piano is playing in the background.

And once you are saved in such a manner, you are henceforth and always saved. Implicit in that (not stated), is the assurance that you will go to heaven no matter what, and those who do not let Jesus into their heart, no matter how righteous and devoted to God, will go to hell.

Presumably, the sins which Jesus died for are the ones that "saved" people commit. If you are not saved by the proper procedure which I stated above, your sins were never died for by Jesus. Unless I'm mistaken.

All this I have gathered in going to church with my wife, and not saying anything, but listening intently...

Hi What!

I'm a Christian and I would like to give my answer to your question.

Yes, Christ died for all our sins, even ours today, as our sacrifice. Retrospective isnt it? But is it.

Not everyone but ANYONE. Faith in Him means you believe in Him and what He says is true. In other words, obey Him. A person who is a child killer could not be a Christian, UNLESS he really repents of ALL his sins, and does good from that point on. A non-humanitarian on theother hand, tries to do good without acknowledging the Creator as the Creator would have preferred. Now, I think it would be obvious who would be acceptable before God, the one who believes Him who saves or the one who doesnt. Also, even the humanitarian, on at least one point in his life, have sinned against God. That sin would stay recorded there inspite of all the good works he may be doing, UNLESS they are forgiven/erased. Christ is giving away forgivness paid by His blood.

God is no respecter of person. But anyone who believes in Christ, and I mean, REALLY BELIEVE in Christ, will be defended by Christ Himself because the sins of that person is already paid for by NO LESS THAN CHRIST HIMSELF.

The Christians who may have been trying to share you their faith MAY BE (I dont know for sure) motivated by love and concern for you(although some Christians would seem imposing, and really are sometimes).

A child murderer will not go to Heaven. A person can only enter Heaven through Christ. But it takes more than just believing in him to enter Heaven. If the murderer asks for forgiveness and repents and is born again through Christ, then he can enter Heaven. But if he continues to sin, then he cannot.

If a non Christian humanitarian dies then he cannot go to Heaven because he did not know God, and God will say to him "Depart from me! I do not know you!"

So, Ghandi is burning in Hell.
This is just one of the reasons why I hate the Christian religion.

"God" will not prove his existence, but "He" will punish you to eternal damnation for not believing he exists. I believe this is a scare tactic used by religious leaders to force people into their religion. They say "God" only wants people of faith who will follow blindly.

Suffering hell are the non-believers, the false believers and the believers with no conscious knowledge and no devoted actions.
Enjoying heaven are the Christians who obey Christ in His second advent, the non-Christians, the atheists, the agnostics, the pagans, the people in all walks of life who recognize the Messenger of God of their time and do His biddings.

Salvation is given and based on ones repentance and turning from sins. If you believe in Christ and commit a sin, you are still required to repent daily. If you refuse, then Heaven is not where you end up.

If you convert your ID to Christian, you can't go to heaven.
It's not by getting born as a Christian is to enter heaven.
But even if you were a Christian or Moslem or whatever, and you accepted Jesus in your heart, and prayed and told Him to give you peace and you believed in Him that He came and died for every one's sins, you go to Heaven

God looks into the hearts. Looks at intent and purpose. He alone will decide if actual repentance has taken place. God will know if you are asking for forgiveness it to reach some other goal than because of love for Him. Grace is no excuse to sin, therefore if one goes and commits a sin they know is wrong ,(because they are forgiven), I wouldn't say that person was saved to begin with because if they were living for Christ they wouldn't do those things they know are wrong.

With so much apparent perfection required in our earthly lives b4 you're allowed entry into the pearly gates, perhaps only children under 5 are allowed in.
The whole concept of God is crazy. If he takes so much interest in ALL our lives, then why the hell does he let a pedophile destroy a child's life.Perhaps he's just got too much on his plate, with the constant flow of 'righteous' people to be bothered with little things like that.
