Nope. I have bought 3 cars off of ebay:

1992 Camaro RS convertible
1968 Mercury Cougar
1968 Mercury Cougar XR7

No problems what-so-ever.

Contact local police department (yours and sellers) and the FBI's internet fraud division.

That happens all the time. NEVER send money via Western Union! eBay has warnings about that all over their site! Why did you disregard their advice??

You actually bought the car outside of eBay so they will not cover you at all.

Scammers hijack eBay accounts and then drop script on a legitimate listing that takes you to a look-alike site where they complete their crime.

Sorry that you were victimized, but there is virtually nothing that you can do. Regardless of the address of the recipient of the WU transfer, the money can be claimed anywhere in the world if the payee has the name right and ID with that name on it.

I am very sorry to hear this. This is a huge scam using Western Union. I really hope that this seller will come through for you.
I am thinking you had to of contacted this seller through their email address because Ebay should have a record of this item.
I hope you did not contact via email & pay them that way. If so, there account password was probably stolen & their Ebay account was hijacked & they now have your money. I hope that is not the case as I would freak out. Good Luck to you.

Ebay has a bunch of posting how scammers are using them to scam people out of phony items, If this country still shot people for horse theft then we wouldnt have this problems.

I would never buy a car from anyone unless I got to see it in person. Now that person is laughing and enjoying you're money. Some how some way you have to find out where he is and turn him in.
