We are thinking of living in Denver, CO and would like to hear some pros and cons. No kids, 30s, married, dog, broadcaster and writer/teacher.

Thanks

It's cold and I found the people there to be kinda artsy.

I lived in Denver for two years and got relocated to Florida. Let me say this...I have never lived in a prettier place than Denver. I actually lived in Castle Rock, just south of Denver and could see Pikes Peak and Mount Evans from my house.
Pros:
No humidity
Beautiful scenic drives.
I saw elk, deer, longhorn sheep, wolf, coyote, moose and mountain lion...all on one drive up the mountain.
Sunshine 300 days out of the year...crystal clear blue sky.
Downtown Denver...namely 16th street...is a cultural mix of dancing, salsa, yuppies, elegance, street bands, history, cleanliness and variety.
The snow on the mountain tops in the morning with the sun shining off of them...no words can describe it.

Cons:
It snows. It sometimes snows hard. They call them "White outs". Can't see a thing. One day it snowed 7 feet! But, it was melted in two days.
Traffic is terrible at certain times.
Hard to get used to the thin air.
Sunshine is brutal. Wear the sunblock. You are a mile high. That means you have a mile less of the earths atmosphere to protect you from harmful rays.

I would move back there in a heartbeat...even from Florida.
Good luck to you both!
