this is the only time I've ever seen her have real diarrhea. Its not uncontrollable diarrhea. Her bowels are just almost like pudding now. This is also the first time she's had the chewing/snack/treat

You can give her boiled milk to firm up the stools..Bring a cup of milk to barely a boil..skin off the film (lactose) as soon as it is cool enough..give her 1/4 cup, warm, for a small dog., or 1/2 cup for a larger breed..this is safe, and will help settle her bowels.

If there was any sugars in the treat, it would cause the loose stools..look for corn syrup, fructose, or sugar on the label..

A 3 month old puppy and you left the puppy alone with a chewtoy?!?
I can't let you get away without knowing how irresponsible this is. Never leave a dog alone with a chewtoy. Dog's gulp objects. They don't think about the consequences of swallowing things they can get in their mouths. Even when your puppy gets older, do not throw them a chewtoy, then leave the room. Like a child, monitor what your dog does with chew toys.

Don't give her a jumbone again. That happens to my dogs also. You can get a prescription from the vet that will clear up the diarrhea right away. It is an antibiotic, I can't remember the name, but it works like magic. I keep it on hand for my dogs. However, I'm not at home to look it up for you! Good luck!

A) Don't give that kind of a treat to a puppy. It's really meant for older dogs. A puppy has a really sensitive stomach- so she just might not be ready for that yet. I would suggest a rawhide or something similar if you're just looking for the dog to have something to chew on.

B) Make sure your dog has PLENTY of water. Any kind of loose stool is a chance for dehydration.

C) If it continues for more than 12-24 hours, I would call your vet and see if they have any advice or if they want you to bring her in.

Good luck!

Stop food at once. (24 hrs ) She may be dehydrating and will need to c a vet for I V fluids. She'll be put on a drip for one night possibly and should be fine. Don't leave her if symptoms persist more than first bout of diaorrhea. Thats time to call vet.

give her a little pepto bismol, my vet says that its ok for dogs,
but since she is a puppy, try 1/2 teaspoon and see if that
helps. otherwise, if she is still sick tomorrow, take her to
the vet. If she didn't chew it well, she could get an
obstruction

get a good mop and bucket. She will dry up soon and you can clean it all up. Next time hide the food.....you can make a dog seriously dehydrated depending on them "knowing better than that"
