Because people think that 'love' means 'Hollywood love'. Real love is not soppy and spineless. Real love means doing what is right, not what is momentarily popular or gives comfort. What is better, to give a drug addict a hug and walk away or take them to a clinic and go through the hell of cold turkey? Love is tough and love is beautiful.

Been Holy also means to hate evil.
For cursing parents, it is also a sign of evil, and thus it does not please God.
