I'm 17 years old Jewish Israeli, and I'm pretty proud of the fact that I HAVE read the other religions' books (the "New Testament" and the "Quran"- partly in Arabic). I've always been interested in theology and others' beliefs, and I do not feel disappointed, or regretted at all. That was a fascinating experience.

Although it brought to my knowledge many new aspects and ideas, I still think and believe that my bible and my religion are the true ones for me.

The Holy Qur'an is the only religious book I've read in its entirety.

And honestly, no, I have not read the Old and New Testaments in their entirety. I've only read portions of the old testament and the gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

Your question did get me thinking sister.

Oh yeah, I read the Bhagvad Gita in its entirety. Its not long in its English translation anyway.

A good follower of any religion should speak honestly and should understand (read and study) his/her own holy book.In muslim society there is a good tradition that children of age 3 up to 6 years old should learn through religion teacher for reading/reciting holy book Al Qur'an at least 3 times. You know our holy book has 30 chapters,114 surahs or titles and 6.236 verses At the end of its learning after finished it third times.there is a ceremony for showing to neighbouring people that he/she has completed his/her reading holy Qur'an by reading a certain verses and the witnesses give a token to the related boy/girl.as a reward and his/her parents treated well their guests on that ceremony.by giving meal and drink..After grown up we should understand also its meaning of its verse in our own language. It is very important in our lives because we should practice it in our daily lives.I myself finished 3 times reading holy book before I entered my primary school at the age of 7.

I have studied much on all 3 of the religions by way of their literature and conferences on the subjects, I enjoy observing prophecies unfold in front of my eyes, we are lucky to have such access on the news to see God's prophecies unfolding daily. I have found the Bible to the most consistent when it comes to prophecies fulfilled.

i have not read a lot of OT but NT yes. and also did some reading on Hinduism -- Ramayana and Mahabharatha and some dieties. actually my school helped me understand Cristianity while some of my freinds helped me get to know Hinduism and Judaism. but i think its my religion that thought me to respect them.

as M.K.Gandhi said -- i love all the aspects of all religions yet i prefer to follow what i have followed all my life.

I have, and I am most impressed by Judaism, which is the religion of the Chosen People bound by the covenant. It is the secret history and philosophy of Western civilization.
