Hi, Some vets will give first shots at 4 weeks,but normally it's at 6 weeks, and them they have 2 other shots they have to have.

Puppies should have their first set of shots by the time they are 7-8 weeks old. Then get them their booster shots on the schedule your vet perscribes.

The American Animal Hospital Association has recommendations of giving the first vaccine, DA2PP, at 6-8 weeks. This is the protocol followed by all 27 vet schools in the US. You can look up the 2006 recommendations at

Puppies need their first shot at about 6 weeks old.
Then once a year at the same time.
It is better not to miss the appointments.

NOW, they should of already been to a vet. If you just got the pups they should have a shot record already...if not.....puppy mill !!!!! 8 weeks is too long go today

Parvo/distemper at six weeks.. next shots 2 weeks later

mine have to have them at 6 weeks as they have been handreared but usually 8 weeks for first then 10 weeks for second,but check with your vet as all vets do things a bit different
