Obviously, your mother is a very difficult woman but don't you ever give up onher.
I understand how difficult you have to go through. I also admire you for being such a good daughter (if she says I am wrong then I am wrong). Mother is always right.
You need to be patient. She is always your mother and you can't change this.
She is getting old and many time the old woman normally is getting so sensitive of little things. I believe the reasons for her not talking to you in week, it must have come from her over expectation in you. She was disappointed in something and it could be anything for example her being left out or not being recognized.
My advice to you is never to give up on her. She is a woman that can never drive you crazy.
Never give up talking to her if she doesn't talk to you that is fine. Never let this thing upset you. Coming home from work bring back something she likes to eat. Showing her your love and affection you have in her.
This is the greatest love you would give it to your mother.
