Orchata? Do you mean "Horchata?" The H is silent, that's why I'm guessing you spelled it the way you did.

Agua De Horchata (drink)

Ingredients:
1 cup rice
1 stick cinnamon
2 tsp vanilla extract
Sugar (to taste)
2 tbsp powder cinnamon
water
1 can condensed milk
Directions:
1. Boil water with rice for 5min

2. In a 2L container add evaporate milk and strain the previously boiled water without the rice

3. Mix rice in blender with cinnamon sticks and vanilla extract

4. Strain rice and add sugar to taste

There you go.

Here you go. I translated it from the "La Cocina Mexicana" website which is a great website for Mexican cuisine recipes that is hosted by the University of Guadalajara (U de G). Their website is at:

http://mexico.udg.mx/cocina/cocinamex.html

It has a good number of recipes. Unfortunately, the horchata recipe was not available in the English version of the website, but I translated the Spanish version for you. Here are my translation and the original version for you. Enjoy !
Ingredientes:

Ingredients:
250 grams of rice
1 liter of water
15 medium coconuts
1 cup of evaporated milk
50 grams of peeled almonds
2 tablespoons of vanilla powder
1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder
1 kilogram of sugar

Procedure:
Saok the rice in one liter of water for two hours.

Cut the cocounts open and remove the jiuce and pulp from each of them. Put the coconut pulp, coconut juice, the rice, water and all other ingredients mentioned above in the mixer and mix together.

Drain the resulting juice and serve chilled.

Note: If the coconuts do not have much juice, additional water can be added to arrive at the desired Horchata consistency

Ingredientes:
250 grs. de arroz
1 lt. de agua
15 cocos medianos
1 taza de leche evaporada
50 grs. de almendras peladas
2 cucharadas de vainilla en polvo

1 kilo de azúcar

Procedimiento:

Looks like you were given the long way. The easy way is go to the nearest Mexican market or even the ethnic section of the grocery store and buy the powder form. Add water and ice and there you go!
