No they are not and they cannot be.
The way we measure the IQ level is wrong.
Amassing a lot of unwanted stuff into your brain is not intelligence.
IQ is to be evaluated on the talent of a person in resolving practical problems we face in the world today. With few maths questions and finding the odd one from a set of figures and such things are the ways to find out the fools, not the intelligence.
The problem with religious are they are using their brain to find excuses to support their faiths. That again is not intelligence. The true intelligent one can be a theist but not a religious one.

well my IQ was rated at an average of 130 with a 145 in math and logic.
and yes I would call my self relatively religious. As for why. That has is a complicated question. Some of it is admitted desire to associate with a group of people (even though I was not born in this group) some of it has to do with a sincere logical understanding of tradition and history knowing that even if G-d dose not exist my practices will be a positive benefit on humanity and that alone is worth the effort. And third is a belief in a higher power and that I am developing a connection with it, but even if I were ever to come to the realization that such a creator dose not exist I would still continue doing what I am doing now because I believe that it is for the benefit of mankind.

Let's just say that I was intelligent enough to get through post-graduate studies, teaching, lecturing and far more. And I'm religious. I've been religious all my life.
In my youth, unlike other children, I loved religious services and didn't want to leave when they were over. I always felt drawn to spirituality of all sorts. My earliest memories are religious in nature. I've examined many different religions, and still consider myself something of a "seeker".
Rationalism, although very important, never could explain away the intense longing for God in my heart. However, I don't wish to be a bigot about my faith. If others don't believe, that's fine for them, and I wish them all the best.

Some are, some aren't. I know some religious people who are very intelligent and I've met some who are about as dumb as grass. I could say the same for atheists, some are intelligent and some are not.
I think theists and atheists just have a very different way of thinking and a different world view. I doesn't make one of those groups more intelligent than the other.

You cannot state that all religious people are either intelligent or unintelligent just as all atheists are not one or the other. If you are suggesting that religious people cannot be intelligent because they believe in a God then that is questionable.
The ability to reason is just one aspect of intelligence just as numerical, verbal, creativity, common sense, the ability to sense importance, judgment, mental agility etc.
I am not religious BTW

I believe myself to be reasonably intelligent, though not religious.
There certainly are people who are both religious and intelligent, and there are people who intelligent but not religious. The two are not necessarily mutually exclusive.
Certain religious persons squander their reasoning abilities and give too much credence to "blind faith." But to be fair, some non-religious persons squander their reasoning abilities as well.

Yes. There is a difference between knowledge and true wisdom. Knowing the truth that Jesus died is intelligent. You sound intelligent... I can prove that DNA supports the Bible, that carbon dating can support the Bible, and that evloution is impossible. Now that's intelligent stuff. People who dont see the truth are not wise. They may be knowledgable, but they dont know the most important thing there is to know... Jesus.

Yes I am religious and I believe I am intelligent (able to reason) enough to respect beliefs that differ from mine.
