In Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Old Catholic, Anglo-Catholic, and some other Churches, holy water is water which has been blessed by a priest, bishop, or deacon for the purpose of baptism.

Aside from other substances that may be added to the water as it is blessed, holy water is indistinguishable from ordinary water.

Holy Water is a sacramental.

Sacramentals are sacred signs that help us live holy lives. Although they do not produce sanctifying grace

Sacramentals include blessings of persons, meals, objects (including water), and places.

The priest blesses the congregation during Mass.

Christians bless their meals. "Bless us O Lord and these thy gifts, ..."

Priests bless water, animals, ships, homes, and even automobiles. "God bless this home and all those who enter here."

With love in Christ.

its true a priest or higher can suppossedly make holy water by blessing it under the name of God. No offense but I kinda see the question as undermeaning. Really in my belief holy water is made if you believe in it as any part of the faith. Its not like its made any different than the Baptist make it or from other religions. See my point? Anyways thats how it is done lol.

P.S.
Just noticed I got my answered downed lol. All I gotta say is I knew it was gonna happen. This is a very touchy issue as any belief is but we must remember to stay open minded to one another for no one is right nor wrong. It's all a myth folks. God is a myth. This only means that the faith can not be proven nor disproven. You could be right and you could be wrong. Who knows.

But for the record I do believe in God.
