"A man who is convinced of the truth of his religion is indeed never tolerant. At the least, he is to feel pity for the adherent of another religion but usually it does not stop there. The faithful adherent of a religion will try first of all to convince those that believe in another religion and usually he goes on to hatred if he is not successful. However, hatred then leads to persecution when the might of the majority is behind it. In the case of a Christian clergyman, the tragic-comical is found in this: that the Christian religion demands love from the faithful, even love for the enemy. This demand, because it is indeed superhuman, he is unable to fulfill. Thus intolerance and hatred ring through the oily words of the clergyman. The love, which on the Christian side is the basis for the conciliatory attempt towards Judaism is the same as the love of a child for a cake. That means that it contains the hope that the object of the love will be eaten up..."

I do not see a lot of people running around saying "My religion is best". I do not think it should be about which religion is best, because on that level they pretty much are all the same... like picking which country club to join, or which gang to be a member of, etc.
I personally am a seeker of truth; I want the highest and the most pure form of truth that I can attain, whatever form it may take, and I have chosen Christ because He stands out as the one who is truly empowered from heaven. He did not come to bring us a new religion, but to bring us back to God!
But, if one looks at all the major religions of the world and compares their heads, there is no greater leader than Jesus of Nazareth! Merely as a man alone he stands head and shoulders above any of the others... for who else has walked upon the water, healed the blind, the lame, the deaf and whatever else was brought before him?
But He was far more than a man, He was (and is) the only begotten Son of God, the Alpha and Omega, the First and Last! The ancient Hebrew prophets foretold by hundreds of years what he was to look like, and then he stepped onto the stage of Life and fulfilled every one of their prophecies (except for the few that still have to do with the future).
No other religious leader has such credentials, for they are ALL only men perfoming the task of running a religion, while Jesus came to restore our relationship with the most Holy God. Religion crucified him... it's not about religion; it is about relationship with the God of the universe.

There is a lot of hypocrisy in religion and it just gets worse over the years. There are some religious people that can just be and not judge or claim superiority but very few. There is too much pride in humanity for acceptance and openness. Just another thing to deal with in life.

dude, people screw up our religion all the times. I don't believe that one is "best" but I know which one is true. Christiainty. The problem is that people twist things and then people pick up the twisted forms of the religion. For example, if your father believed in racism, you would probably would too. If you were taught that Jesus was white instead of Jewish, you probably would believe it. Don't judge an entire religion on the mistakes and missunderstandings of a few people.
Everyone has their own version of religion. They often get it wrong. I just sit back and let the people believe they are right. Let the Muslims believe in allah. they will burn in hell for not accepting Jesus. Let the Catholics believe that people are saved by works and not by grace, they may get it all wrong, but hey!!! Hell is waiting.
Just a warning for anyone that says anything against religion or anyone that twists religion. God will judge you even more harshly for leading others astray.

I do not speak for all the Muslims here but here the reason most Muslims react the way they do is because of the harshness and insulting tone of most questions aimed at Islam.
We love Islam dearly and the reaction is proportional (mostly) to the tone of the question.
We appreciate and commend those who respectfully ask questions out of sincerity, not out of spite and hatred.

In this day and age, people like you have rejected excellence in any arena for the politically correct level playing field. You have nothing of worth to offer, so you detract , tear down and ridicule those that do. Your towering conceit is no less than astounding, especially for one who has nothing positive to bring to the table.
Democrat are you?

Christians don't say "my religion is the best"
We say "Jesus is the ONLY way to God". That makes it pretty arrogant.
But if I didn't believe that, I wouldn't be a Christian.
Muslims believe that Mohammad shows the way to God. If they thought otherwise they wouldn't be Muslims.
It's not arrogant. It's belief.

Religion is nothing,........there is only one Living God and that is Yehweh (I AM),.....there is nothing else so there is no contest it is not about popularity or human superiority by religion, this world and all that is in it is not about us it is about the relationship that God is hoping for an eternal family , basically who ever believes in his son Jesus and has been cleansed by his forgiving blood may enter into the kingdom....simple as that ....God wants a family to live with him into eternity and they need to be clean (purified by the blood of the Lamb) because he doesn't want his palace dirtied with the ugliness of sin there, just as if you were dirty with mud and you clean yourself before entering for example your mothers house that has beautiful furniture and clean white carpet. It is that simple,....please my friend do not take all that the worlds says personally , Jesus tells us to be in the world but not of it.
God bless you and much love to you

It should be said 'God is the best' and following after Him teaching our children to do the same than we are seeking after His attributes which is love, kindness, compassion, forgiving, mercy, love, putting other needs ahead of our own.

I agree. But you say it in such a preachy tone that it makes one think that it's not said with much humility.
