Did you just get sick of home? Thrown Out? Did you get job first then moved out?

I moved out to live with my boyfriend when I was 17. I had a job at Sears, and his parents were quite wealthy so we were able to pay all of the bills no problem. I'm 22 now, and no longer with him, and looking back I don't think I was really ready to be on my own. I had been living with my father at the time, and he told me he thought it would be "best" if I moved out when I was 18 (I had only been living with him for about a year at that point... the first 16 years of my life had been spent 1500 miles away living with my mom). My point is, I was more or less forced to be on my own before I was ready, and even though I had a boyfriend to live with and was financially secure at the time, I still wish I could have spent more time at home. If you have the choice, my advice is to wait to move out of your parent's house!! Paying bills and having to worry about all that crappy adult stuff before you're ready sucks!

I was 16 and moved out.
I lived in my car and stayed with friends - I just didn't like being at home anymore. Looking back, I lost many opportunities and it was hard to make it on my own.

I've always wanted to be on my own, since the age of 16. I always felt that i can take care of my self. I don't know if is it because I spend 7 years of my life in the boarding school. But any way I started being on my own when I was 18. But my parents they never aproved of that.

I was out of home for 5 years, before I decided now to return to my parents. They love me a lot.

I was 15, mother died and father just didn't care. He had a new family and I was just a bother. I got married when I was 17, graduated, had 2 children, went to college, and this year my oldest daughter who is 18 in now in college. It was hard but with determination, anything is possible.

i was 15 when i starting working & 17 (just out of high school) when i chose to move out (since my mother & i never had seen eye to eye on much). she had my 3rd sister in march of my senior yr & i became the built in babysitter (i didn't mind some of the time or if i had been asked 1st) so i opted to leave home for some peace & quiet & to have time for me.

i was 17, got married, thought i had it all figured out. Well, i didn't, and it finally hit me that i was no more ready to be on my own at such an early age as it is for any young person. i found out later that it was much easier to learn by your mistakes than it is to live with your mistakes.
