Religion is a need in our life for making our society orderly and properously if most of us obeyed all God's instruction and God'prohibition in a life guide that is called holy Qur'an.Without religion our life will be chaos and blind.unorderly.Without religion we could not know what is good and what is bad for our lives here in this earth and the eternal life after we died..We live in this earth is only in a very short time for collecting our preparation.in the neverlasting life after death.God introduced religion into the society because God wants to know who will comply to God's guidance and who will disobey God's guidance.Holy Qur'an is the best benchmark of a good(right path) and a bad(wrong path) humanbeing's deeds. This universe with its contents including human beings belonged to God Almighty so it is His Authority to govern us.God has given us the best laws and regulations but we humanbeing do not know it well and practice it in our daily lives.

The primary purpose of religion is money, power and control of gullible minds, but it's important to remember that no religion is the correct one, and all religions have got it wrong.

There are many major religions in the world, such as Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Judaism, and so on. Within each major religion there can also be many minor religions. For example, within Christianity there is Catholic, Protestant, Anglican and so on. Within Islam there is Shiite, Sunni etc.

In summary there are many hundreds of different religions in the world all with their devoted believers and followers. Talk to any devout religious person and they will almost emphatically insist that their religion is the right one, it’s fact, and any non-believer is doomed.

Commonsense and logic would suggest that if there was any truthful or factual basis to religion, then only one of these religions could be correct, not all of them. However, in my view, it’s highly unlikely that any of these man-made religions bear any resemblance to fact or the truth, and are more likely to be the result of simplistic human intelligence looking for an escape from reality.

Social laws are needed in a civilised society for orderly conduct of life.
Like wise, for managing the inner life, religion helps with some time tested methods, for uplifting the being , instead of groping in the darkness, or requiring to re-invent the wheel.

Religion came to be, because man needed a reason for all of the things that he couldn't understand. The moon, the sun, thunder and floods. There had to be something, a god, that was causing these things. Fear was the first thing on earth to make gods. Over time, man's imagination was able to constuct very elaborate gods and started to worship them. It continues today because man still has the need to feel powerless against things that they cannot control. Giving them a reason for being.

Because humans can be very corruptible in many ways (sin can spread like cancer and eventually kill you either spiritually, physically, or both!) God's plan was to redeem the world through Jesus and His Word (having guidance in living a Godly Life.)
He even came down in human form to understand us better. (that was One of the reasons He did so.) It reminds me of a secular song ," What if God was one of us?" He was, about 2000yrs. ago. Remember being spiritual and religious are two different things. The Pharisees were a perfect example of being a religious group back in Jesus time who just cared about politics and getting money from people. Sadly you still see this in church today and I can understand why so many people get angry about religion, going to church, and making many jokes.
Honest I can understand, I use to be one of those individuals, until He made me see the Light.

Some people need faith and belief that there is something better for them in life.
Religion can cause fights but the people in voled believe that they are fighting for something and not for the sake of war.

It gives people something to hang on to when there is no one or nothing for them.
