You know, the best Italian food I've ever had was prepared by a man named "Sharma" in the German town of Pforzheim - and he was Indian. So, my answer would be: If that Chinese chef can pull it off, nobody will care where he comes from. It's about the food, not about the chef.

Absolutely! As long as you study in a certified chef's school there should be no problem. If you already know several food cultures, go for it. Best wishes.

Definately, food is not decided by the ethnicity of the person. It is all about the talent of the chef!

I only buy Japanese food from Japanese people. German food from Germans, Ukrainian food from Ukrainians, etc. I think that it adds more to the dining experience when you are being waited on and cooked for by people of whatever origin the food is.
