Does Baldomir really have any chance, or is this another easy Floyd victory? Baldomir did look impressive in stopping Gatti, but so did Mayweather. what do you think?

Yes, Carlos Baldomir can beat Floyd Mayweather Jr....

Baldomir has heart and grit to walk through fire and keep coming for more. Baldomir might be slow, but I dont think Mayweather has enough pop to to keep him at bay through the first half of the fight. The punches might accumulate late, but early on, Baldomir will be aggressive and willing to trade one shot of his to take a few from Mayweather.

Mayweather must bring his 'A' game and box and keep distance for 12-rounds to win this fight on November 4th.

Mayweather will be Baldomir's third opponent in a row, this year, who is not a natural welterweight who have just moved up from 140. In Mayweather's case, he should still be at 135-140 now.

Baldomir will be the far larger man come fight night, probably weighing in around 155 or the middleweight range. Mayweather with his brittle hands could be in trouble if they act up during this fight and he needs to eek out the final few rounds for a decision. Baldomir is a guy who walks around at 170+ in between fights. Mayweather is a gym rat that can still make 135 if need be.

Mayweather likes to fight in the pocket and shoulder roll in fights with Arturo Gatti, DeMarcus Corley and Zab Judah, but I can't see him hanging in the pocket until late in the fight, which means he will have to expel a ton of energy early to wear down Carlos. But will Carlos be worn down? I think Carlos could still be lethal late in the fight IF Mayweather decides to trade shots at any time.

Mayweather himself has fought twice at 147 and both of his opponents were slick boxers from 140 in Zab Judah and Sharmba Mitchell. And lets not forget, Judah was at least even or ahead on the judge's scorecards when he fought Mayweather. IF Mayweather gets out to a slow start and is down on the cards, Baldomir will not easily go away and fold like Judah did when Mayweather picked up the pace.

Baldomir has momentum on his side and believes he can win, which is more than half the battle. Baldomir has the right mentality and can win this fight.

EDIT: Why the thumbs down? Yahoo needs to fix this crap.

Baldomir does have a good chance of beating Mayweather. Floyd is already looking past Baldomir to a possible match with De La Hoya next spring.

De La Hoya is thinking about retirement, and Baldomir is nearing the end of his career as well, so if Floyd is really as good as he thinks he is, he should stop running from Margarito.

Floyd took the combat with Baldomir via fact Baldomir became the rightful welterweight champion of the international. Baldomir beat Zab Judah honest and sq. and as a effect, he grew to alter into the welterweight champion. Why might Floyd ought to avenge a loss for Zab Judah ? They stopped being cool with one yet another for the time of the merchandising for his or her combat, which Floyd gained by ability of determination.

Do I think Baldomir will win? No. But in boxing you never know, all it takes is for Baldomir to have his timing spot on and for Mayweather to be off, not have his timing and rhythm. Baldomir is a champion even in this age of the "alphabet soup" titles. Therefore you can't discount him.

carlos stands a punchers chance. he will be able to take floyds power because the guy walk around weighing 190-200 lbs, he a naturally bigger guy, but maywethers speed is too much for a fighter will little technical skill...but margarito is a diffrent story, he can and will retire floyd maywether!
and floyd knows it thats why hes avoiding margarito.
