I personally don't think that losing one's virginity has anything to do with the physical act itself. I think that the love you feel for someone, your relationship, trust, etc is the more important thing. If you sleep with someone, you just sleep with them and theres no feelings attached. This is not losing one's virginity. If you love someone, are comfortable with them, let them have 'you', then thats what I call sleeping with someone and losing one's virginity. The physical act of having sex doesn't mean as much if you aren't in love with that person and have developed a relationship with them. It just sucks, to tell you the truth. I have never regretted it for a single day that I lost my virginity to the person that I did because we genuinely loved each other and took it seriously. Yeah, sex for the first time for a girl is not usually the best ever...it kind of sucks. But what I felt for him and what we were sharing is what made it so meaningful and the act real.
If you want to get technical about it though...if your hymin broke during this, then yes, you did lose your virginity. If that wasn't broken, then you haven't technically lost anything.
