People with straight hair probably never understand the trauma u face with curly hair ..Curls can be of varieties ..some curls fall so well that u really dnt need to do anything abt it but some are so horrible like the kind i had that u get tired of trying to set it up all the time. I myself got permanent straightening done thrice from India ( initially for 1500 Rs and then 3000 Rs from good salon) . Ofcourse for rebonding etc its higher . The effect certainly lasts long ..approx 10 months for me but yes its does harm ur hair too I felt. I have lost a lot of hair after the same . Now i use the temporary hair press for special occasions .
All said n done permanent is worth a try .. its not necessary than everyone shud have a problem with it . I know of lot of people who keep getting it done without any trouble .

good luck

Try a relaxer if it is really curly, but have a professional hair dresser apply it. The relaxer doesn't last forever, but it will make your hair straight, and you will only need to touch up the new hair growth like you would if you colored your hair. I have curly hair too. I used to use all kinds of stuff to straighten it. I finally said, forget it....and let it grow the way it does naturally....CURLY. I always get complements. Good luck.
