finally coming up a series not everyone believe in it. I believe with the reputation of this channel in conducting probe/studies everyone would probably take a second look what they refuse to consider in their faith. Let's take the two shows they have so far:

The haunted( about ghostly stuff).

Psychic witness( a psychic helping police investigator solving criminal cases).

So what's your opinion on these?

just because we dont see things- it doesnt mean that there is no such thing as demons, spirits and ghosts. u cant see air but still u know its there. even this is the same way.

so if Discovery channel shows all this then its just not a part of Faith and religion. why? and i dont think that demons, spirits and ghosts have to just do with Faith and religion alone. if u would know that spirits and demons are nothing but a current of energy -- electromagnetic to be very specific. if u dont trust me u can always ask an expert for the thruth.

Its amazing what people will believe. I've met a lot of people who will scoff at the Bible and faith but have no trouble believing any ghost story or tarot cards, astrology etc. I guess they have taken quite a leap of faith in this though. I think the difference is the Bible requires a life change and these other things are just interesting stories and not more.

The shows you mention certainly don't seem to be anything that could possible relate to science. So I guess the answer is no.

Psychology at one point was not a science. Parapsychology is a fringe element, BUT, on the flip side, they ARE at least attempting to refine their field of study by using testing and emperical evidence.

While I think two entire series is far too much, I think that dismissing it entirely out of hand is still a little premature. New fields of science take time to get their foundations built because they're literally having to figure out the fundamental theories and the emperical evidence.

I like the Discovery channel. I don't watch the shows you posted in your question, but I find the science channels very interesting...

I'd have to see them, but I think it's good that they're investigating these things. I hope there's real science, and interviews with believers who seem halfway sane (there are many), and not just sensationalism and mockery.

I think they are utter rubbish and should not be shown on the Discovery Channel.
