First of all there is no such thing as a christian by birth. To be a christian you must at least be old enough to acknowledge that you are a sinner and you need a saviour to pay for those sins and that Jesus was that saviour. Then once you understand that, you must accept Jesus as your personal saviour and turn away from your former life of sin and commit yourself to following Jesus. It's that faith in Christ that gets you eternal life not good works. Good works will be a by-product of that original faith that you had in Jesus. But you can't just decide to be a do gooder and live a life of good works and expect that this will get you to heaven because you've done nothing to atone for your sins. That's why the good living Hindu man cannot expect to get to heaven just by living a good life because the good life has done nothing to atone for his sins. The christian man may have been a rapist, murderer, robber and drunkard before he came to Christ but if he is still raping, murdering, robbing and getting drunk after he comes to Christ then I would say that is pretty good evidence that he never truly came to Christ. Getting to heaven by good works is religion. Christianity is not religion but a personal relationship with Jesus Christ the risen savior that will eventually result in good works. It's a supernatural thing. You are changed supernaturally on the inside. You are given a new nature that always wants to follow God. The bible says the Holy Spirit comes to live inside of you. Hinduism and all the rest of the 'isms'
are just religion or philosophy where there are rules and regulations that you decide you are going start living by in your own strength. Christianity is a supernatural inner change that also has rules but you are given a new desire to live differently(the new nature) and the power to live differently(the Holy Spirit).
The Hindu man is trying to get to heaven by living a good life. but show me some proof that living a good life is the criterion for getting to heaven. The bible says the criterion is having your sins paid for. Only Jesus can do that because he's the only one who ever died for your sins. I don't know anyone else that even claimed to die for sins.

My dear friend, I think you are confused about the term 'Christian' and the way to heaven. No body is a Christian just because he was born to Christian parents, has a Christian name, was baptized, goes to church, did good to others, helped the poor and so on. Neither is heaven offered to someone who has these credentials. The Bible says a sinner can not enter heaven and since all mankind falls under that category there is nothing humans can do about it. That is why God had to step out of eternity into time and take the form of a man, to take their punishment and pay for it by His own death. And now, since God has done this for us out of His unfathomable love, He says we need to just believe in it and accept Jesus as our Savior. Then, we will be forgiven and be accepted as righteous through Jesus. This is the only qualification required to be eligible for heaven.
However, one who has thus been qualified will definitely exhibit a transformation in life and involve in good works that bring comfort and peace to all. Others may be fakes.

No. The Bible says you will know them by their fruit. A good tree doesn't bear bad fruit and a bad tree doesn't bear good fruit. In other words the authenticity of a persons faith in Christ can be established by looking at how they live their life. Another verse in the bible is ' Faith without works is dead'. There is no such thing as a true Christian who continues intentionally to be a rapist, murderer robber etc.
I think an important point is that Christianity can never be inherited like some other religions. True christianity is a personal relationship with Christ that is out of ones own freewill.

No one was born a christian so I totally disagree with you. If a person did those things, he is not a christian. And Christianity is not a religion, it is a relationship with God, believing in Jesus as His Son and our Lord & Savior.
God is just and fair. A person who never heard of the gospel when he did good works on earth will be given justification when he dies. And I really mean, those who never heard about Jesus at all.. not referring to those who rejected him.

rather or not you did bad things it doesnt matter that you were born a christian faith you have to find God yourself. Your parents dont get you into heaven. The person who does all that stuff and then turns around and goes christian and never does it againa and tries to change his ways will go to heaven because he found God himself. Same for a hindu, getting into heaven is based on your faith not your actions.

The brand named Christian never takes any man to heaven...
God's Word says there is no man righteous in the earth Even Hindu, Even Christian
One who belives Christ and walks in his ways is the Ture Christian and he only goes to heaven

Man is not taken to heaven by his works or deeds.. its by the repentence of Sin.. washed by the blood of Jesus. Every man should be saved and accepted Jesus as his saviour. tht is the way o heaven....
Jesus is the only way to heaven
