When I said: "Not including God" I meant not including God the Father, God the Son(aka Jesus), or God the Holy Spirit...

Not including God - Darn then Jesus doesn't count.

How about Aquilla + Pricilla - they took the time to mentor Apollos

and 2nd choice - The people of Berea - They searched the scriptures daily to make sure Paul and Barnabas were preaching the truth

hhhmmm..... Philip comes to mind. He and Stephen tapped into a direct Spiritual connection with God.... did the work of God and then settled down and had a family.... and continued his ministry by teaching his daughters.

I have learned the most from Paul. He speaks in the manner and language of someone who is here right now despite the fact that he wrote almost two thousand years ago.
