animals unlike human beings and monkeys do not do sex for fun.They only do it for reproduction.Each animals have a season in which they mate.In this season females secrete a hormone which the males smell and are attracted to it.after the females have selected a male for mating they proceed,by males licking the female organ.this is done to lubricate it and also to prepare the female mentally for the act(sex).
