Well I don't know of a home remedy but a homeopathic one is to use Zicam allergy nasal spray. My brother uses is and swears it is a life saver! It has really made his life easier.

Have you been to the doctor and had the full allergy work-up? It is nice to know exactly what things you are allergic to. If you know you can take milder medications during "off periods" and stronger stuff during heavy seasons. It is interesting to note that allergies can aggravate other problems such as stomach and colon problems. My mother-in-law lost her "lactose intolerance" after her doctors did thorough allergy testing on her and got them under control. Heart disease can also cause a "sick sinus syndrome" where people suffer a great deal from allergy symptoms that nothing really seems to allleviate well.

Full allergy testing is expensive so doctors are somewhat reluctant to order it but if you explain your lack of relief they will order it and adjust your medications to specifically meet your needs.

Good Luck.

Never heard of any home remedies for allergies. Other than treating the symptoms. What makes you weary about allergy medications? They do actually work, I have no side effects from mine either. Speak to your doctor, or allergist, they have alot of information for you that might be beneficial.
