depending on the size of the engine, the starter can pull between 60 to 100 amps for a very short time. using P=E x I then its between 720 to 1200 watts.

depending on the solenoid used, standard ignition systems can push anywhere from 150-300 amps through a starter on ignition.

Car batteries usually max out in the 500-800 amp range.
