About Telnet 25?

Question

Im trying to use Telnet 25 command (Run>cmd>Telnet 25)
It takes it, but i dont know what to do after.
Im trying to send myself a mail from my server.
Does someone knows how to make it work?

Actually sending a mail using Telnet and some SMTP server most of the cases creates unsolicited emails. It often results in spamming.
