It is a desecration of Janis Joplin's memory to mix Southern Comfort with ANYTHING! However, if you must, I find that it's plenty sweet enough already, and so avoid further sweetening as with Coke. I've been known to combine a shot of SC with club soda and a little lemon juice over ice -- very refreshing (sorry Janis). Does anyone remember a "Special" issue of MAD Magazine featuring gag labels for common products? One of them was a facsimile of the SC label that said, "Sudden Discomfort." I still laugh when I think of it after all these decades!

My brother would tell you it's a trip to emergency to get your stomach pumped after you wake up on a boulevard wearing a suede jacket that now needs a visit to the drycleaners.

Follow that up with your Dad sitting you down to a big greasy breakfast of bacon and eggs and then a morning of mowing the lawn, and you won't care about what goes well with Southern Comfort ever again.

hmm a whole lot of nothing can make southern comfort taste good. no matter what you add you're still going to have that terrible taste in your mouth. My recommendation is just to throw in the extra $5 and get a 750mL bottle of Bacardi, my personal favorites are Bacardi O and Bacardi Big Apple (tastes like a jolly rancher)... and if you want to get royally messed up Bacardi 151
