I met this guy on campus at my university. We chatted about football and it turns out we have the same favorite restaurant. He asked for my phone number, and I gave it to him.
Then he asked what I was studying and I told him. I asked what he was studying and he, "Oh, I don't go here." WTF? I said, "What are you doing here?" and he said, "Oh I'm just hanging out."
Okay, so this definately makes him weird, but any theories on what's up with this guy?

I'm not going to jump to any conclusions about him; if you really thought this line of inquiry was important, you should have pressed him for details. If he became evasive or vague, that might indicate that something was up, but for all you know at this point, he was hanging out waiting for friends to get out of class or something completely innocuous like that.

Be VERY careful especially now that he has your ph. number. He could be innocent but he sounds like some guy trying to pick-up or take advantage of college girls. He might even be planning to rape someone. Report the incident to the campus police so they can keep an eye out for him so if he trys anything. Good Luck

It depends, if he is around your age and the age of majority of people on campus it is okay. Some people like to hang out to meet people their age. He may not be well educated and if that is important to you, then you need to be aware of that. He may also have friends on campus which would make it okay. Does it really matter, go on the date and see if you like him. If you do, go from there.

I would trust your instincts. Obviously, your "weird" feelings outweigh your interest level in him.
Based on the information you gave, it is really hard to tell who this guy is. He could be a great guy or could be a sexual predator.
Whatever the case maybe, trust your heart and your mind and make your own decision. Don't let people (like me) influence your choices....

It sounds like you had a few things in common but you really should have gotten to know him better before you gave him your number. You should be more careful and not so trusting of strangers.

He's a loser who wishes he had the brains to go to college. Or he is scoping the broads and looking for a rape victim. Sorry he passed you over, perhaps you need a makeover. And the WTF does not look nice on a girl. He's not weird, he's just going after what he wants but cannot earn.

Ok, so he was on campus, but he doesn't attend the school. I'm trying to figure out what's so weird about that...I could see if he was...I dunno, eating a baby or something. That would be weird, and reason to fret. But this? No. Just something to disregard.
