I put my work first and now I lost my gf of 8 years. I am only 22 and we were together since we were 14. I think that is me and I think I will always put my career before a woman. Maybe when I get older I will not. I do not think you can change her, she will do what she wants. If you do not like this, you need to move on.

Oh mudit, you have bigger problems than your insecurity. To be 23 and still using early teen slang says it all: You are emotionally immature and incapable of a relationship. If g.f. doesn't have an opinion about that then you two are a match. Of course she prefers her work. She is away from whiney, immature you. Leave her be and take an English class and leave behind your adolescence. When you reach 23 you can begin again. I wish you well.

Is she not giving proper attention to u? is she being rude to u? has she told u that her work is more important? what makes u think she keeps her career ahead of u in her life? If u know the answers and think she might opt for her career if has to choose from u and her career, then better walk out because may not accompany u for long with high career ambitions.

Part of growing up is learning responsibilities. First lesson...work is top priority over personal life. She isn't shunning you. She is simply matured to the point where she knows that work comes before play.
