I do not know how the Chef made your dish you had but my own recipe is here below for your reference.

<<<<<< Garlic Prawn Spaghetti >>>>>>> Serves 2

300 g Spaghetti (put 1 tablespoon of salt and a pinch of salt in a pot of water, boil the spaghetti till cooked, drain well)
800g large uncooked king prawns, shell and devein, leaving tails intact
2 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon white wine / sherry / cooking wine
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
1/2 teaspoon sugar
6 cloves fresh garlic, crushed
2 fresh red Thai chillies, seeded, finely chopped
2 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
salt
1 lemon
4 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese
25 g butter

1) Dry the prawns with paper towel, mix white wine, white pepper, sugar in a bowl and marinate the prawns for about 15 to 20 minutes.
2) Heat oil in non-stick wok or frying pan over low heat, stir fry garlic and chill until fragrant, turn heat to medium.
3) Add prawn and stir fry quickly for 2 minutes or until just changed in colour, turn off heat. Remove from wok, set aside.
4) Melt butter in the wok over low heat, stir fry the spaghetti till hot, return the prawns to wok, sprinkle the cheese and parsley. Turn off the heat, combine well.
5) Place spaghetti on serving plates top with prawns, accompany with lemon wedges. Serve immediately. (Add ground pepper or extra cheese to taste if desired.)

500 gr spaghetti. Small frozen prawns. (The amount depends on how many prawns you want on your spaghetti.) 6 fresh tomatoes, peeled and cut into small pieces. 3 garlic cloves, thinly sliced. Olive oil. Salt and Pepper. Chilli. Parsley.

Instructions
Boil the spaghetti in a large saucepan. Meanwhile, in another saucepan, heat the oil and add the garlic, the tomatoes and the prawns. Saute for 2 to 4 minutes and mix well. Add the chilli, salt and pepper, depending how spicy you want the sauce to be. Mix the sauce with the spaghetti and serve. Garnish with fresh parsley.
