Seems when a new singer comes out she's about 14 now, like Britney and Christina were when they came out...and by the time they are 25, they are struggling to hang on. We dressed up babies, such as Jon Benet like baby whores. Are we training men into pedophilia? Does this anger men when they see it, or do they keep buying into younger and younger fantasies?

By the way if you doubt the truth in this turn on the turner network or some channel that runs old movies. There were tons of actresses and pop singers in those days in their 40's playing lead roles. And I don't mean like 'getting by' but top lead romantic rolls. Bette Davis, Joan Crawford, Ingrid Berman, Sophia Loren, etc etc etc., lead romantic roles in films. Now we have Meryl Streep. The bell curve is definetly going lower and lower.

You have a good point here. There definately has been an emphasis on promoting younger and younger women, especially in the music and modeling fields. Having said that i just adore Mandy Moore and started buying her records and magazine photos of her even when she was 15 or 16. Not just because she looked sweet and sexy, but she was such a sensitive person, too, which I love. A man who seeks out a young women is not a pedophile unless he is looking to abuse that person and she obviously does not know what she is doing, but face it, many young girls today look for sex just as much as any 20 to 30 year old and dress the part, too. I don't mind young women, even girls in their late teens, modeling or whatever, as they are usually pretty. I love them to be honest, but when a girl is still a kid at 12, 13, or 14, that is going too far. Part of the problem is that women sexually mature earlier today and the entire media and entertainment industry is built on looks to grab the viewer's attention. As far as my preferences go, I crave younger women, but also get turned on by many middle aged woman (like Jacklyn Smith and Heather Locklear) who take care of themselves and are still pretty and reasonably thin. If you are 25 you are still plenty young and hot, I am sure, so don't fret over this. I hope this helps. L

Yes it is true but have you looked around, what do you see a lot of walmart dollies, overweight, and dirty hair, clothing that should be burned, what do you expect, at 20 they look like 30, ever go to a dating site and read, example I am a single mother 35 years old, with 3 beautiful children, a little over weight 5 ft 4 and 168 pounds, not working right now, but a good person, would like to find a handsome, hot stud 30 to 40 years old for marriage! YEA BUDDIE, better go look in the mental institution, because their brains are as dead as her's! Want to look young, start young, stay out of Mickey D's and Mr Donut, exercise get off the cole a cola and stop smoking, we can smell you a mile away, don't have to have expensive clothes, but clean ones and clean hair and nails etc!

This may seem trivial, but it's pretty important because it affects almost everyone negatively. Think about it...you're either going to get older or you're going to die young. So it's really stupid and self-destructive to buy into this new idea that you're a has-been so early. It's really weird when girls worry about wrinkles and stuff when they're in their 20's. Women, you are being manipulated to have this fear. It didn't used to be like that -- you can tell from watching movies from just a couple decades ago. The people in the movies were in their 30's and 40's most of the time. They didn't seem like old bags. Their lives seemed important. I think big business wants you to be insecure and fearful so that you will spend money tring to "fix" the problem they created. Don't buy in to the bulls**t. Anyone who doesn't think Diane Lane is hot because she's in her 40's is completely brainwashed.

It's all relative and it depends on what area you're talking about. In sports like gymnastics or figure skating being 22 - 26 is over the hill and legitimately so because for certain disciplines. The same is true for music, in the area of pop Christina and Britney are considered old at 24 because they have that teenage image so when they are no longer teenagers they seem old. In other musical areas that isn't necessarily the case. My favorite jazz vocalist is in her mid 30s and her CD is critically acclaimed just like my favorite Latin singer who is 36 this year.

Actually its just the opposite. Older women are getting better opportunities than ever before. Look at some of the most popular celebrities. Hell 60 is now the new 40.

Yes but that is how it works. If you are a pop star at 25 by the time you are 35 you are old news. It does not really mean, they are old in body but old news. I think that is the think you need to understand. They were popular but they are old to the music world now and need to make room for something fresh.

i think not only are woman considered old at a younger age, old woman are considered young at an older age (60 is like the new 50, like how 12 is the new 16). i guess nowadays, everyone wants to look like they're 20 or something.

I think most men would be anger by it it we made then think just like you. Howeve, many are buying into it. I'm so mad.

Due the marketing attack of the showbiz, unfortunately.
The fashion is trashy and every day more expensive and the girls everyday more wicked, funny at the moment, but a regret in a long term.
And each girl believes that she is snob princess to work-ship that she doesn't do ANYTHING, only shopping and get drunk/laid.
