Why must they wear tiny little clothing even when it is freezing outside? Why must they paint themselves like little tramps? Why do we dress our little girl children like runway models with too much make up like Jon Benet? Is there any hope for a species that only see's themselves expendable commodities to males?

Social conditioning. It's what they feel they must do to fit in and out do the other gal. Sadily it's not the make up or the skirt that gets and keeps a mans attention. The wrapper is a great attention getter ...but the personality, personal confidence, comunication skills is what sells the person. Too many "Glam Magazines" saying this is the new bench mark ... you must equal or surpass to be "Woman" .... a load of crap !!! It's all about the money ..... make up folks gotta sell the wares ... fashion designers gotta move the clothes ..... convince a little girl that to be a big girl and pretty she's gotta have all this junk.... and bingo you too can pay the mortgage on your home!
Sad but too true.

No woman "must" preen and pose for men, but we have been sold a bill of goods by the advertising world, and so it is. That said, there is a basic instinct or drive to preserve the species, and as with most mammals, birds, insects, and other species, we need a male and female to do it. There seems to be some posing and strutting involved, as well as certain chemical agents called pheromones, and a physical attractiveness factor. In our case, there are a lot of products which may enhance our chances of getting a mate.

Yikes! I spend most of my days with teenagers, and the majority of girls don't "paint themselves up like tramps". You sound like a serial killer or a televangelist, or both.
Anyway, it's guys who preen and show off more than women. They just do it with their actions more than visually. Women dress up to compete with one another as much as they do for male attention.
I agree with you about little kids. The Jon Benet thing creeps me out whenever I see it.
Women don't act expendable, but there is a biological distinction between male and female reproductive success. Men are designed to reporoduce with as many fertile women as possible, and women are designed to select men who will protect and nurture her offspring (whether they are his or not). This means that women, from a man's biological perspective, or more expendable than men are to women.
By the way, women aren't a species. And before you decide that women trying to attract men is hopeless, don't forget that everyone who ever lived had a mother who attracted a father, so it's kind of important.

well i can see how it would get discouraging and i think on a wide scale youre right. But let me tell you that i am not one of those. for one thing i have a sense of modesty taught to me by my parents. for another thing, if i ever do preen, its for my own self. for example, when i saw my crush the other day i didnt wear any makeup and had on a tshirt and jeans...nothing inspirational. then tonight i was going somewhere where i knew nobody and i dressed up and fixed myself up and dang it, i looked good, but i was looking good for myself not some guy.

the answer is "sex sells" and plenty of dumb men(no offense) who gets attracted to this kind of women. maybe it's animal instinct but you will never find true love by preening and prosing. But you will usually end up getting the wrong kind of attention. So if that's what you are not looking for, then don't go there..

It may appear that way but a great deal of it is not directed at us guys but at other females. It is a competition and they try to be the one noticed. Yep as weird as it may seem it mostly is for other gals and not us.

Because all the other women do it, because they are afriad to lose out to the other women who do it. When in reality guys dont care much for make up and clothes, we pefer natural beauty. But, women are insecure about that and dont belive it.
