According to Wikipedia, death in space would come from asphyxiation:
"Humans exposed to vacuum will lose consciousness after a few seconds and will die within minutes from asphyxiation, but the symptoms are not nearly as graphic as commonly shown in pop culture."

Freezing or burning without atmospheric protection from the sun or lack thereof.
I think that would happen long before suffocation froma lack of oxygen.

body would explode i think due to lack of pressure, or at least the heart would but you would choke to death first. and freeze as well,
