It is actually very common. I think it is more uncommon for a person to have just one. People do not generally fit into a perfect box, we are pretty complex creatures.
There is a very broad spectrum of personality disorders so I am not exactly sure which ones you are referring to.
You can e-mail me and I can get you some more detailed information.

Some personality disorders come with signs of other personality disorders...
It's common to feel like you have more than one disorder. The longer you sit and think about it, the longer you convince yourself you're "sick".
You're not as crazy as you feel you are. Everyone is crazy. It's those who think they're not that have the REAL problem.
So more than one disorder possible? yes... for those who are convinced they are very very ill.

It's not that uncommon to be diagnosed with more than one personality disorder. It is very hard to make the diagnosis of a personality disorder, because there are very close signs and symptoms of all of them. Does that make sense? I hope so, good luck...

I think it's pretty common. My mother in law has a split personality disorder and goes through multiple personalities, and I'm sure has other personality dissorders.

all mental illness is on a continuum....that is, we all have different parts to our personality...how defined each aspect is can become increasingly disfunctional as it comes from more serious abuse in childhood.
multiple personality disorder is pretty rare, but more people have borderline personality disorder...actually, I think I do...I was abused & have difficulty functioning in our society...
but I did study it at U of O...
