This reminds me of that quote from the Johnny Cash Biography "Walk the Line" where Johnny is talking about going to sing in Folsom Prison and his promotor says, "Your fans are church folk, Johnny. Good Christian people. They don't want to see you singing to a bunch of convicts trying to cheer them up." And Johnny goes, "Well then, I guess they aren't Christians." So..my answer is that a Christians who hate, are not Christians. Jesus never hated anyone and even asked forgiveness for the people who were killing him. It's a shame that so many people have distorted Jesus' message of love and turned it into a weapon of hate. I think he would be sad about that. Very sad indeed.

The question shouldn't be why Christians hate-instead it should read-"Why do Muslims hate"-that's better :)?-don't fcuking label all Christians-just because you call yourself one, doesn't mean you are in the eyes of God-not all are deceitful and give Christianity a bad name, so don't be so ignorant.. Oh, at least Christians don't go around bombing because people don't convert like those turds who think mohamed and allah are it-and notice I didn't capitalize-that's cause I don't give a shiit!

True Christians don't hate, we get aggravated, frustrated alot. Some of the questions non-believers ask like can God make a rock so big he can't move it? And questions blaspheming the immaculate conception, the virgin birth, get to us,but we don't hate. When they ask these questions, put us down, say we believe in fairy tales, talk bad about our God, it hurts our hearts. This is something we take seriously, our salvation, our Lord. But we don't hate.

hate what?

if you're referring to hate in general.. do you think hating is wrong. If Christians follow the Bible and try to act accordingly then Romans 12:9 says

Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.

I think any person Christian or not grows and matures as they get older, and as they mature they become more founded in what they believe. They also find things that are "immoral" to them more distasteful and yes.. grow to hate them.

Wouldn't you agree it is right to hate evil? You might be confusing hating evil with hating people. Christians do not hate people.

Well tommybear, Christians aren't supposed to hate. But they are human beings and they do things they shouldn't do just like you do. They are exactly like you, except for one thing. They pray and ask for forgiveness and they believe in Jesus Christ and Creation. They believe that Jesus died for every ones sin, and that it is a free gift to all, some just stick their nose up to salvation.

What did you expect that we were supposed to be perfect?????
