how did it feel when it started? I'm 29 and quit today because of severe constant sore throat. Don't say go to the doctor ( I know that much)

A very close friend of mine developed throat cancer at age 50. He had no pain in the beginning... what he had was an annoying , dry cough that wouldnt go away.... he described it as dry and itchy. But I would imagine that different people have different symptoms. The good news is that if caught early it is a highly treatable cancer.

my mother was just diagnosed with it, a month ago, but she had been going back and forth to her md. with complaints of sore throat and ear infections that she couldn't get rid of , dr gave her refills of antibiotics ,counted off for over a year..." she insisted on seeing a specialist,because she said she felt like something was obstructing her breathing and in her throat,she is now in treatment 3 weeks radiation and chemo. has 4 more weeks to go, I don't know what to feed her thats soft and high protien?. its hard to see that she can't eat because of the dryness and swollen sore throat but has to or possible feeding tube?.. good luck..you know what you should do..

my father just got done getting treatment for throat cancer...the only way they found out he had it is he lost his voice...and he went to a throat specialiest and they stuck something down his throat and when it came back...they found cancer...he couldnt swallow...he had a hard time eating...and lost crazy weight from not being able to eat...he always said he felt like something was stuck in his throat...

Thats exactly how it started for my Grandmother.

She didn't see someone, and when she finally did it had spread to her lungs, mouth and nasal cavity. She has about 3 weeks left to live.

I beg of you, don't put it off! The longer you do, the more serious it can become. Early prevention is the best cure.
