I dream I am in high school and keep remebering that I don't have to be there anymore (because I am 30!), but I feel guilty, as if it is a secret. Just curious. Silly answers okay.

You know I used to have a similar dream for many years that I was in high school but could never find my locker. I have not had that dream for many years. Now I am taking a trip down memory lane. I work as a metapyshical counsellor so dream interpretation is something I do quite often, however, I never thought about my dream until you posted the question. I have learned that it is important to pay more attention to the theme within the dream rather than the dream itself. The theme in yours obviously is that you seem to feel out of place, you are not supposed to be there and the result of that is some guilt. What comes to mind is do you feel out of place in life, do you feel different from others, have you had consistent experiences of feeling unaccepted by others in your life, do you find yourself in situations or places where you feel you should not be there. hope this has helped. What does mine mean??

When I'm feeling overwhelmed with tasks and I'm worrying that I'll never get anything done, I have that stupid dream where I'm back in high school, and it's at the end of the year; suddenly I realize I forgot to go to classes! Or I dream that I'm in a play, and it's opening night, but I've forgotten to go to rehearsals and don't know my lines. I hate those dreams!

I think it's your brain working through all the worries and concerns you've got going on at the time.

Okay I have this dream all the time but in my dream Im going back to high school to finish up credits, and I'm anxious and unhappy b/c I think it's ridiculous that I have just finished college and have to go backwards to HS. FYI...I hated HS

BUT

I also dream that Im going back to college and I'm embarressed b/c I think I'm too old for it (im 25)

Honestly I think it's because I really enjoyed college and would love to go back to that time in my life. Perhaps you really had a good HS experience and want to relive it.

?just a thought?

I do that too, and I'm 42. I've managed to tell myself (in my dream) that I'm the grown up now, I can replace whatever is in that locker that I forgot where it was...you mean I forgot to go to math class ALL YEAR?????? Oops. That's what community college is for. Chuck some water balloons at the teachers! You're naked? So what, you're gorgeous!!!!

I manage this by telling myself these things before I go to bed if I'm due one of the dreams, and eventually they appear in the dream.

It's almost as if you're trying to resolve an issue that's been bothering you in real life. I've had dreams like that, that ended when the issue was resloved...

You would have to describe the dream more for me to really have a say on this, but it sounds like your brain is on rewind, and keeps skipping back to something.

That means there is something you haven't resolved yet regarding something inyour youth. Only you could know what that is.
