Theres this guy, and I think he likes me because he is always really nice to me, he makes conversations with me, and he occasionally walks me to my classes. I have been talking to him for about a week now, and we have a lot in common. I'm starting to like him to now, but he's an inch or two shorter than me. I have always imangined myself being with someone taller than me, but I guess it doesn't really matter.
Should I go out with him..if he asks me? (This would be my first boyfriend), and what is your experience with dating guys shorter than you?

Height definately does not matter. We all see couples where the guy is taller than the girl but who really cares. You are the one who is going to be with him and not anyone else so who cares what they think. You could be turning away a really great guy just because he isn't taller than you. My boyfriend is an inch or two shorter than me and we've been together for almost 5 years now and there hasn't been any issues. If my boyfriend was taller than me, it doesn't mean that I would love him anymore than I already do. Height like age is just a number. If you really love or care about the guy and would want to be with him I doubt that his height will make you love him more or less.

yeah i have dated some1 shorter than me & he was really sweet & totally gorgeous & i would say my general preference r guys taller than i am but its really not about the height its the personality and ur common interests. If u like him he likes u give it a chance see where it takes u life is about experiences not other peoples opinions. u said he's about 1 or 2 inches shorter, thats nothing mine was about 5'' shorter he had 2 stand on a step 2 kiss me. Its hard to find a man shorter than me...I'm only 5'2", but I have dated alot of short men. Height doesn't matter....and besides, I have learned that shorter men make better boyfriends. They for some reason think that because thier short they have something to prove, therefor are much more attentive to a womans wants and needs. If he asks....go fourth and date.

I've dated a few guys shorter than me and I loved it. My husband is my height but I wear heels a lot so it makes me taller and he doesn't mind at all.
I like that my neck isn't craned just to get a kiss and I can nuzzle his neck when we hug.
Give it a go, you never know how great you'll be if you don't try.

My fiance is shorter than me. We have been together almost 5 years! I'm glad we met and him being shorter than me doesn't bother either of us or our friends. In fact we don't really even think about it! Don't miss out on someone great because he is shorter than you or because your friends might make fun!

your not dating his height. your dating him. its the inside that counts didnt your mom or disney teach you that. plus seeing as how your in school he may still be growing so by the end of the school year he could end up 2-3 inches taller than you. girls and boys develop at different rates.

well after reading all the answer its not true height does matter cause a girl doesn't want to be with a guy who is short and ugly like myself, they just want to make a guy feel better when they say height never matters and personality matter so girls never really mean it that height doesn't matter...................

i've never dated someone who was shorter than me but i dont think it should really matter, if he likes you and you like him then nothing should stop you two from going out.
