it's good that you washed off the medication, but you should be fine. if you get a rash or your skin feels uncomfortable, see your doctor and let them know what happened. for most people, a little on the skin is no problem but some people are sensitive to it. and it should dry on your dog in a couple hours. you can pet him on other parts of his body, just avoid where you applied it. it's great you're using a flea prevention, and frontline is a good one. maybe next time have someone distract him with treats while you apply it, and he may not shake it off.

You should be alright if you took a shower and got it off you . I usually put the medicine on early in the day and if you allow him to go outside than take him out and let the sun dry it. It shouldn't take that long. But if you don't let him go outside than take a blow dryer to the spot where you put it. and make sure that when you put it on the dog that none runs don't on the dogs side or hip area. because it did before on my dog and he got really sick because he ending up licking it . You should be fine but if you are still concerned about it call the vet or posion control.
Good luck ....

It's extremely poisonous however I don't think it's that toxic to people. There should be a number to a hot line that can advise you whether or not it will harm you from skin contact. You did the best thing, washing off. I would never use the stuff on my dog though...

I was treating a cat who was very poorly. He is ferile/tame but did not like being treated. I sprayed it on to a damp cloth and stroked him. I have had a sore tongue and mouth ever since - 4 to 5 weeks. I have been to the doctor and nothing so far has helped.
